Reichel/Pugh-designed 66.8m superyacht Hetairos won the 2022 St Barths Bucket Overall, while R/P 41.5m Ranger took home the J-class crown.
Since 1986, the St. Barths Bucket has hosted the largest sailing yachts on the planet, and this year saw 30 entries comprising seven classes: five for traditional superyachts, and one each for historic J-Class boats and the newly added Les Petites Dames (28-metre yachts). Amidst 17-22 knots of trade winds, the Reichel/Pugh-designed 66.8m superyacht Hetairos won the 2022 St Barths Bucket, successfully defending her crown–having triumphed at the regatta the last time it was held in 2019. She also scooped up a second award for Best Starter, which is presented to the yacht that executes the closest start over the course of the regatta. Hetairos boasts a carbon composite hull, lifting keel, and nearly 3,000 square metres of sails to help her perform to the best of her capacity.

In the J-class category, it was 41.5m Ranger that took home the crown. Reichel/Pugh in collaboration with Starling Burgess & Olin Stephens accomplished by the naval architecture and exterior design for Ranger.
